i’ll be in chicago from thursday 2/12 to saturday 2/14, but the most important thing is the reading i’ll be doing on friday as part of this event:
i get black metal
this is only one part of a scheme that will ultimately result in the release of my first collection, the awful possibilities. more on that later. but if you’re impatient (that’s why i like you), go here and get some details. and order. there are rewards involved.
here’s a sample of what i’m gonna read:
“A rainbow is light,” said Varg, “only shattered.”
Put that way, it sounded satanic enough to Bjorn, and he was prepared to leave the conversation there, until Varg asked another question.
“And do you know what happens, Bjorn, when you try to put the colors back together? Not with like, light, but with crayons or markers or something?”
“I’ve done that before,” said Bjorn. “You get brown. Shit brown.”
“You get black,” said Varg. “Pitch black. And that is why rainbow is the most insidious, the blackest of all metals.”
